The MEDA has Expressed appreciation for the support it enjoyed during it’s stay in Bauchi State for the past seven years of working in the state.
This was disclosed by the Country Representative of MEDA in Bauchi State, Mrs. Grace in a farewell to mark the end of activities of MEDA in Nigeria held at Kafin Madaki, Ganjuwa Local Government Area.
Mrs. Grace noted that MEDA has achieved a lot in the area of improving the livelihood of Women and urged beneficiaries of MEDA to form cooperate groups to ensure continuity of the project.
Mrs. Grace thanked the State Government, , LGCs, Traditional and Religious Leaders beneficiaries of MEDA for the support towards the success of the project and called for its extension.
In his speech, Representative of the Chairman Caretaker Committee of the Local Government, Alh. murtala Ibrahim Madaki expressed gratiitude to MEDA for supporting women through its emppwermnt programme.
Also speaking, the Village Head of Kafin Madaki expressed appreciation to MEDA for the financial assistance rendered to their communities which he noted had impacted positively in their livelihood.
Highlight of the event was the confirment of a traditional title of Zinariyan Madakin Bauchi by the District Head Dr. Baba Muhammad Gidado to Mrs. Grace in recognition of her contribution towards improving the lives of rural communities in Ganjuwa Local Government Area.
