The Bauchi State Commissioner for Local Governments and Chieftaincy Affairs Hon. Isa Babayo Tilde has inspected the ongoing renovation and upgrade of the palaces of eleven village heads in the Dass Local Government Area of the state.
Speaking during the inspection visit, Hon. Babayo Tilde said the ongoing transformation of the traditional institutions in the state is commendable and expressed satisfaction with the level of work done.
The Commissioner appreciated Governor Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed Kaura Bauchi for his efforts in providing traditional rulers in the state with a conducive atmosphere to operate.
According to him, the ongoing upgrade and rehabilitation of the palaces of the first-class Emirs in the state and those of district and village heads across the state were geared to allow the traditional rulers contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of the state.
Hon. Isa Babayo Tilde hinted that Governor Bala Mohammed is fully aware of the roles traditional rulers are playing to the development of the state.
He praised the local government chairman for his efforts and supervision to ensure the projects are completed on time and to the required standard.
Receiving the Commissioner and his entourage, to the executive Chairman of Dass Local Government Council Mohammed Jibo, thanked the state Governor for awarding contract for the renovation and upgrade of palaces of District and village heads in Dass Emirate.
The Commissioner was accompanied during the visit by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Saratu Jibrin, Directors and staff in the ministry.
The districts and Village heads that would benefit from the renovation were, Bagel Village head
Bundot District head
Dot Village head
Dass Village head
Baraza District head
Baraza Village head.
Others include, Dur Village head, Lukshi Village head,
Zhumbul Village head,
Polchi District head and
Polchi Village head.
