Gov. Bala Mohammed approves the creation of Sayawa Chiefdom.

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi state has approved the creation of Sayawa Chiefdom with Headquarters in Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area of the state.

Speaking while addressing Sayawa stakeholders at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Bauchi, the Governor said the decision was taken after a careful study of the reports of the committees set up to come up with detailed modalities on how the Chiefdom could be made.

This, he said, was part of his administration effort to find lasting solutions to the lingering problems behind the creation of Sayawa Chiefdom which has defiled efforts by successive administrations for over three decades.

Governor Bala expressed sadness over the loss of innocent lives as a result of series of ethno-religious violence that erupted in Tafawa Balewa and Bogoro axis in the realisation of Sayawa Chiefdom.
