People have been reminded of the need to eschew political bitterness and rancour, to avoid future regrets and promote peace and development.
The Political Adviser to the Bauchi State Government, Alhaji Abubakar Ahmed Faggo, gave the advice in a chat with reporters, noting that hasty decisions made without proper investigation often lead to regret and unnecessary tension capable of derailing good intentions.
Alhaji Abubakar Faggo, who is also a former Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, stressed that any decision or policy taken without a clear understanding of its objectives is counterproductive and harmful to the growth and development of society.
He observed that, the recent Bauchi State Economic Summit has yielded positive results, creating opportunities that could serve as a bridge to economic prosperity if properly harnessed.
According to him, out of the 47 memoranda of understanding signed during the summit, the investment of even 14 companies would inject millions of dollars into the state’s economy.
He admitted that, although he was initially skeptical about the benefits of the summit, the influx of investors has erased his doubts and given him renewed optimism about Bauchi State’s economic future.
Alhaji Abubakar Faggo therefore urged citizens to avoid making premature judgments about government policies and programmes, saying such attitudes could discourage leaders from initiating bold and beneficial projects for the common good.
