Federal Government restates its commitment to create a secure and business-friendly environment for local and foreign investors

He stated this while declaring open, a two-day Bauchi State Investment Summit
at the newly constructed Ahmadu Bello International Conference Centre Bauchi.

Kashim Shettima assured both local and foreign investors of the enormous economic potential in Bauchi State and the wider Northern region.

The Vice President further described Bauchi State as a land of opportunities, stressing that the summit provides a unique platform for harnessing the state’s agricultural, mineral, and tourism resources for national prosperity.

He commended Governor Bala Mohammed for his visionary leadership and for positioning Bauchi as a key investment destination in Northern Nigeria.

In his goodwill message, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III, called for a comprehensive and collective approach to address insecurity in Northern Nigeria.

He explained that peace and stability are critical ingredients for meaningful investment and economic development and urged governments at all levels, community leaders, and citizens to work hand in hand to restore lasting peace, noting that the region’s full potential can only be realized in a secure environment.

In a welcome address, Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, expressed delight over the presence of investors, diplomats, and business leaders at the summit and declared that Bauchi is fully prepared to partner with both local and international stakeholders to unlock the state’s economic prospects.

The governor highlighted the strategic importance of the Ahmadu Bello International Conference Centre, describing it as a symbol of Bauchi’s readiness to host global engagements.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to providing the right infrastructure, policies, and incentives to make Bauchi a hub for investment and innovation.

The summit has attracted audiences, including top government officials, traditional rulers, business leaders, development partners and diplomats from countries like China, Turkey, Serbia, and Tunisia.
