Bauchi state First Lady Dr Aisha Bala Muhammad has commended commissioners wives Association for launching a financial support to one Hundred and eighty six beneficiaries for petty businesses to improve their economic status in the State.
Speaking during the event at banquet hall Government House Bauchi, the first Lady said the gesture will go a long way in improving the lives of the beneficiaries.and appreciated the commissioners wives Association for initiating the forum in order to assist the community to access support
She advised the beneficiaries to conduct a feasibility study before embarking on any business, and warned them against giving out credit to avoid loss.
Also speaking the chairperson commissioners wives Association COMWA, Bauchi State, Hajiya Saratu Abdulkadir Modibbo maintained that the forum was established to compliment the effort of the state First Lady Dr Aisha Bala Muhammad and assist their Husbands in providing dividends of democracy to the people.
Hajiya Saratu Abdulkadir Modibbo commended the first Lady in her efforts towards encouraging them to follow her step in assisting the needed once in the society.
In her welcome address the caretaker Secretary of the Association and wife of commissioner for Justice Hajiya Zainab Hamma Misau ,Said the initiative was aimed at reducing the high rate of poverty among the society.
Hajiya Zainab Hamma Misau expressed that the empowerment program for the selected beneficiaries from across the twenty local Government areas in the State was First of it kind organized by the Association considering the socio- economic challenges faced in the society.
In their Vote of thanks on behalf of the beneficiaries Mrs Rebecca and Malama Fatima Muhammad thanked the Association for the gesture and promised to make use of the empowerment judiciously
