BSUWSC Provides Water Relief to Sabon Layi Residents Amid Supply Challenges

The Bauchi State Urban Water and Sewerage Corporation has delivered a water tanker to residents of Sabon Layi community in Bauchi as a temporary relief measure following disruptions in water supply caused by technical challenges in the area.

The intervention was initiated by the Managing Director of the corporation, Hajiya Uwani Garba Dagauda, who visited the community to assess the situation and supervise the distribution of water to affected residents, particularly women and households facing acute shortages.

Speaking during the visit, Hajiya Uwani expressed concern over the hardship being experienced by the community and assured residents that the corporation was working to restore normal water supply within the shortest possible time.

She said the welfare of the people remains a top priority for the corporation, adding that efforts were already underway to provide a lasting solution to the problem.

The Managing Director also stated that the concerns of the community would be communicated to the Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, whom she described as supportive of initiatives aimed at improving the living conditions of citizens.

She further commended the governor for creating an enabling environment for effective service delivery across the state.

Responding on behalf of the community, women leader of Sabon Layi, Maman Yan Biyu, appreciated the gesture by the corporation and praised Hajiya Uwani for her commitment and compassionate leadership.

She expressed optimism that the lingering water supply challenges in the community would soon be resolved under the current administration of the corporation.
