Bogoro LGA boss promises to support Bauchi state ministry of women Affairs to construct modern women Development center

The Chairman of the local government Surveyor Yakubu Lawi Sumi made the promise when he received the Bauchi state ministry of women Affairs team in his office today.

Hon Yakubu Lawi Sumi stated that, Bauchi state ministry of women Affairs is strategic and if actualized, would improve and address the socio economic activities and also boost women strength in the Local Government.

He said the center when actualized would provide opportunities for women to showcase their talents that would further transform the lives of women in Bogoro Local Government area.

Surveyor Yakubu Sumi, commended the state Governor Sen Bala Mohammed Abdullkadir, for initiating the project.

He assured the committee of his council’s unwavering support for all ministry of women Affairs programs aimed at positively transforming women.

In his response, the leader of the team Alh. Sirajo Jibrin appreciated the chairman for his unwavering support to the ministry in diverse ways and also for securing a site for the construction of Women Development center.

Jibrin revealed that the women Development center when completed will empower women in the Local Government and also improve the economic status of their families and bring sustainable development to the community.

According to him the proposed center will focus on gender equality, skill acquisition, health awareness, entrepreneurship, and economic empowerment.
