Bogoro council boss pledges support towards ongoing voter’ registration exercise

The Executive Chairman Bogoro Local Government Council, Mr Yakubu Lawi Sumi has pledged to support ongoing voter registration exercise,
‎ Represented by his Deputy Mr Mulki Markus Masoyi, Mr Yakubu Lawi Sumi, gave the charge during a stakeholders meeting held at the headquarters of Independent National Electoral commission Bogoro area office.

‎He encouraged all residents of Bogoro Local Government area to take advantage of the ongoing voter’ registration exercise to obtain their Permanent voters card in order to allow them participate fully in the upcoming 2027 general elections in the country.

‎‎According to him, it is a civic responsibility of every Nigerian to exercise their civic right during election and the only way is to obtain Permanent voter cards.

‎He promised to embark on grassroots mobilization across the thirteen wards of the Local Government area in order to achieving set goals of massive registration with the LGA, noting that the rotational itinerary scheduled by the Independent National Electoral Commission would enable people in the communities to access the registration centers within their Areas of residence.

‎Addressing participants at the meeting, the electoral Officer Bogoro Mr David Z. Po-le expressed appreciation for their presence and the continued commitment of critical stakeholders to the electoral process.
‎According to him, the independent national electoral commission has scheduled a rotational itinerary across the ten (10) federal wards of the Local Government., Adding that the exercise is scheduled to commence on 2nd February and run through 26th April, 2026.

‎Earlier in their remarks, the district heads of Bogoro Mr Nuhu Tafida, Lusa, Mr Dauda Zabas and Boi Mr Bala Likita pledged to mobilize their respective community members to ensure massive turnout for the exercise, noting that wider registration would promote fairness, reduce disenfranchisement, and strengthen local democracy across the Local Government area.
