Bauchi State Zakkat committee distribute grains to less privileged in Bula.

Zakkat Committee in Bulla District of Tafawa Balewa local government area of Bauchi State has distributed grains worth fifteen million naira to about five hundred less privileged members of the society.

The Sa’in Bulla Malam Shehu who stated this during the distribution exercise at Sarkin Nassarawa village in Bulla said the grains was collected from farmers in fifteen wards in the area.

Malam Shuaibu Shehu explained that the gesture was parts of fulfilment to the commands of Allah to his servant been one of the five pillars of Islam.

He urged farmers in the area not to sell their farm produce and animals before given out Zakkat in cash, saying that it is against the teachings of Islam.

In their separate preachings, Islamic preachers in Bauchi Malam Mu’azu Idris Guyaba and Imam Yakubu Abubakar Gero implored wealthy Muslims to give out Zakkat as at when due as ordained by Allah.

They explained that given out Zakkat as prescribed by Allah cleans one’s wealth as well making one to be closer to Allah .

Also speaking, the village head of Bulla Alhaji Abubakar Saleh who commended Zakkat committee for their tireless efforts in the collection and distribution of zakkat called on traditional title holders in the area to support the committee to achieve its set target.

Also speaking,the acting secretary Bauchi State Shari’ah Commission Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Yasin called on Muslims especially people to give out Zakkat as at when due in order to purify their wealth.
