Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board organizes reception for 2025 Hajj Reporters.

The Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has organized a reception to honour journalists who covered the 2025 Hajj operations.

Speaking at the event, the Executive Secretary of the Board, Dr. Imam Abdurrahman Ibrahim Idris, commended the journalists for their professionalism, dedication, and efforts in educating the public through accurate reportage.

Dr Imam Abdurrahman also called on journalists to focus on responsible reporting and encouraged stronger collaboration between the media and the board to enhance transparency and effective communication.

He expressed appreciation to both journalists and citizen Journalists for their contributions during the 2025 Hajj exercise and encouraged them to sustain their commitment.

The Executive Secretary also lauded Governor Bala Mohammed for his continuous support to the board and commended the board’s staff for their dedication.

In a goodwill message, the Director of Hajj Operations, Alhaji Sabiu Barau, described the media as critical partners in progress, noting that the reception was aimed at boosting their morale and encouraging further collaboration.

Also speaking, the Director of Education and Enlightenment, Alhaji Hashimu Abubakar Sadiq, hailed the journalists for their role in publicizing the board’s activities, describing their efforts as a form of religious service deserving of divine reward.

In a vote of thanks on behalf of the journalists, Alhaji Bature Malumfashi applauded the gesture, describing it as the first of its kind and a significant motivation for media personnel covering Hajj activities.

Highpoints of the event was presentation of appreciation letters to the journalists in recognition of their contributions.
