The Member Representing Chiroma Constituency in Misau Local government council at the Bauchi State House of Assembly Alhaji Yahaya Ahmed Maikudi says the state government is making a giant stride in improving the state power infrastructure through the rehabilitation of power lines and repairs of vandalized facilities across the Bauchi.
Alhaji Ahmed Maikudi who is the chairman, Bauchi State House of Assembly Committee on power, Science and technology, stated this when he featured on a BRC live phone in programme, ” DAGA JAKADUN AL-UMMAH.
He said the effort is geared to enhance electricity access to Bauchi residents.
According to him, the Bauchi ministry for power, science and technology is conducting a state wide assessment on the areas affected for necessary action.
The lawmaker, who is also the Chairman of the Bauchi State House of Assembly committee on Food Security and Nutrition, announced plans by the state government to fight malnutrition through specific initiatives through partnerships with organizations.
Alhaji Ahmed Maikudi said these efforts include, both preventative measures and the treatment of existing malnutrition cases.
He said the move is aimed to strengthen the healthcare system, reduce child mortality and improve access to life saving services.
Alhaji Maikudi used tge forum and appealed to the Bauchi State Government to intervene on the deplorable state of roads in his constituency.
The lawmaker noted that although Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has constructed some roads in parts of the local government, people of Chiroma Constituency are in dire need of improved road infrastructure.
While calling on the state Governor to intervene, Alhaji Ahmed Maikudi said the roads included, Misau-Azare, Misau-Agili-Bale, Kari- Adamami and Misau-Beti to Maladumba and the remaining road from College for legal and General Studies in Misau to Kari junction.
