The Bauchi State Independent Electoral Commission, has announced plans to conduct a bye-election in Tumfafi Ward, Shira Local Government Area on twenty third December, 2025.
The announcement was contained in a statement by the Commission’s Information Officer, Ishiyaku Adamu, made available to newsmen in Bauchi.
It said, the bye-election will be conducted to fill the space left, following the demised of the councilor representing the ward.
According to the statement, the bye-election is in line with the provisions of the Nigerian Constitution and the Bauchi State Electoral Law 2008.
BASIEC in the statement, revealed that, nomination forms for interested candidates are available at the Shira local government electoral office and urged all eligible political parties, aspirants, and residents of Tumfafi Ward, to take note of the election date and comply with all guidelines.
The Commission therefore, reaffirmed its commitment to ensure a transparent and credible bye-election in the affected Ward.
