Bauchi State Government praised for renovating BRC FM Azare.

Bauchi State Government has received widespread commendation for renovating BRC FM Azare, one of the state’s key grassroots broadcasting stations.

Speaking to newsmen, a community leader and Grand Patron, Radio Listeners Association, Katagum Zone, Alhaji Auwal Madaki described the renovation as a major boost to public access to credible information in the area.

He applauded the Commissioner of Information and Communication, Usman Shehu Usman, for his commitment to upgrading the station to a modern and professional standard, noting that the effort is in line with the present administration’s drive to strengthen media organisations in the state.

Alhaji Auwal Madaki emphasised the vital role BRC FM Azare plays in educating and informing the public on government policies and programmes.

He also appealed to the state government to convert casual workers at the station to permanent staff to address manpower shortage for effective service delivery.

In a separate remark, the Chairman, Katagum Traders Association, Alhaji Ahmadu Yaro Ba Kudi, commended the state government for what he described as a timely intervention.

He noted that the renovation was long overdue and urged the authorities to further equip the station with modern broadcasting tools to maximise its performance.

They expressed optimism that the upgrade would strengthen BRC FM’s capacity to serve the public effectively and help bridge the communication gap between the government and citizens.
