The Bauchi State Civil Service Commission has suspended two Permanent Secretaries and one Chief Executive Officer (Account) from the State Service for serious misconduct with effect from 27th September, 2024.
A statement signed by the Permanent Secretary General Services of the Commission, Ibrahim Adamu Gambaki, indicates that the suspension was considered during the Commission’s 1st Extraordinary sitting in the year held at it’s conference Hall.
The Commission during the session reviewed the recommendations and other available documents on the affected Officers submitted by the Office of the State Head of Civil Service which recommended appropriate disciplinary actions against the Officers.
It stated that the officers were suspended under Section 0331 of the Bauchi State Public Service Regulations to give room for further investigation since the matter is currently with the relevant authorities.
The Permanent Secretaries suspended were Sa’idu Abubakar and Danjuma Garba as well as Bala Ibrahim Sabo, a Chief Executive Officer (Account), who are currently attached to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, Ministry of Higher Education and Ministry of Natural Resources respectively.
In his remarks during the meeting, the Chairman of the Commission Alh. Abubakar Usman Madakin Bunun Bauchi, warned State Public Civil Servants to adhere to the rules of engagement in the conduct and discharge of their responsibilities.
Alhaji. Abubakar reiterated the Commission’s efforts and determination in sanitizing the State Civil Service.
