The Senator representing Bauchi South Senatorial District, Shehu Umar Buba has felicitated with the people of the state and the entire Muslim ummah on the occasion of the eid-el-Fitr Sallah celebration, marking the end of 1445 Ramadan fasting.
He said the Ramadan fasting had in the last one month inculcated the virtues of patience, devotion, self-control, humility, kindness, forgiveness and other virtues of Islam that should be extended beyond the period for a just and peaceful society.
This is contained in a statement signed by his Director of Media Malam Shamsu Dini Lushe and made available to newsmen.
He reminded the Muslims on the importance of giving out Zakatul Fitr to the needy at the end of the fasting period, for them to have a sense of belonging during the festive period.
The Senator therefore prayed Almighty Allah to accept the acts of ibadah and supplications made for the full return of peace and prosperity in Nigeria.
He admonished the people to continue supporting government policies and programmes at all levels and assured his constituents of equal representation aimed to improve their livelihoods
Senator Shehu Buba charged the people to be conscious and vigilant about their environment and to report suspicious movements to security agents for prompt action.
