Ibrahim Muhammad Nasir from Shira local government area of Bauchi state is to represent the Nigeria in the International Qur’anic Recitation Competition coming up in Saudi Arabia on the 9th of this month.
The Commissioner religious Affairs and societal reorientation Alhaji Yakubu Ibrahim Hamza who stated this in an interview with newsmen in Bauchi said preparations have been concluded ,for the contingent participation in the competition in Saudi Arabia.
Alhaji Ibrahim Hamza explained that the contingent have been adequately trained to face the competition saying that he is optimistic that he will perform well in the competition and will make the state and county proud at the end of the competition.
He adequate provision to his welfare while in Saudi Arabia has been provided for his comfortability throughout the competition.
Alhaji Yakubu Hamza said members of team have accompanied the contingent to Saudi Arabia ahead of the competition.
On the scholarship given to winners of the Quranic Recitation Competition held in Damaturu in some categories has ,the Commissioner said Bauchi state government has settled the tuition fees of the students to study different course in India for three years.
He said the fees paid includes ,feeding and accommodation for three students.
