The Bauchi State First Lady Dr Aisha Bala Muhammad has called on the people with special needs to redoubtable efforts towards engaging themselves into useful ventures to avoid Begging on the streets.
The first Lady made the call at the renewed Hope Initiative economic Empowerment programme in commemoration of the twenty twenty five world Disability Day.
The theme of this year’s celebration, “Fostering Disability -inclusive societies for Advancing social Progress”.
The first Lady who is also the North East Coordinator renewed Hope Initiative program said the provision of financial support to two hundred, and fifty person with Disabilities across the thirty six State, and FCT in addition to Disabled veterans from the military and police to enhance their Businesses.
She said the First Lady of the Federal Republic Of Nigeria Senator Oluremi Tinubu mark the day to be celebrated through their coordinators in all parts of the nation.

Dr Aisha Bala Muhammad commended the effort of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his wife Senetor Oluremi Tinubu for the celebration of this year’s world Disabilities and their kind gesture for the Empowerment which ha touched many Disabled persons in Nigeria.
She advised them to make the best use of the Empowerment.
In her welcome address the permanent Secretary of the Agency for People with special needs in the State Brisca Jauro described this year’s celebration as unique Because it is the first time people with special needs celebrate and benefit from the Empowerment at the same time.
Brisca Jauro said the gesture will go a long way in assisting the people with special needs across the state .
In their separate Vote of thanks on behalf of the beneficiaries said the gesture will assist them through their Business and as well keep them away from begging on the street and make them self reliant.
