The Deputy Governor Bauchi State, Mohammad Auwal Jata has formally rendered his resignation from the membership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), effective from 1st, 05, 2026.
In a letter to the PDP Chairman of his Murmur South Ward, Zaki Local Government Area the state, Jatau expressed his profound gratitude to the party for the numerous opportunities it has accorded me over the years to serve in various capacities.
He stated that after careful reflection and wide consultations, he was compelled to take the decision due to lingering crisis within the party, which has left it without clear and cohesive leadership, describing the situation as posing challenges to the political aspirations, stability, and progress of its members.
Similarly, Mohammad Auwal Jatau has therefore joined his principal, Governor Bala Mohammad into his new political party of Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) party, promising to support and work together with him to achieve the desired objectives.
The deputy Governor then directed his political associates, supporters and well wishers to join the new movement and give their best for the best interest and the victory of the APM party in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
