Bauchi Commissioner for Information inaugurates content creation committee for BATV

Bauchi State Commissioner of Information and Communication, Alhaji Usman Usman Shehu has inaugurated a six-member committee to review the current content value of the Bauchi State Television Authority (BATV) and recommend innovative strategies to enhance its media broadcast standards.

Inaugurating the committee in his office, the commissioner tasked them to develop modalities for transforming and repositioning BATV to a modern and digitally-driven content creation platform.

Alhaji Usman Usman Shehu emphasized the importance of the committee’s work in line with the government’s vision to revamp public media institutions and foster greater audience engagement.

According to him, the committee is to chaired by Alhaji Babayo Mohammed, a former Director of Programmes at BATV.

Other members of the committee are, Hajiya Fatsuma Mohammed, Malam Nazeef Suleman Ibrahim, Abubakar Wunti, Auwal Hassan and Yakubu Yari Bawa while Mrs. Fibi Gayus of the BATV would serve as Secretary of the committee.
