The Welfare Committee of Bauchi Central Mosque has provided rice and five thousand naira each to six hundred orphans, widows and vulnerable individuals in Bauchi State.

The distribution ceremony, held at the Conference Hall of Bauchi Central Mosque, aims to alleviate the economic hardship and rising of commodity prices.

The Secretary of the Committee Alhaji Bala Ibrahim Sani Lifidi, said the gesture is part of the committee’s efforts to assist the poor families who lack the opportunities to take care of themselves and their families.
He noted that many people, particularly the less privileged families, have faced numerous challenges due to the high cost of living.
Ibrahim Sani, said the food commodity was received from Bauchi State Government to support the less privileged.
Earlier, the Welfare Committee Chairman, the former Khadi of Bauchi, Alhaji Abdullahi Yakubu Marafa commended Bauchi State Governor Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for his commitment to support the vulnerable people in the state.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Sa’adatu Ahmad and Malam Ahmad T. Buba, expressed gratitude to the Governor and promised to utilize the commodity and the money judiciously.
They prayed for the Governor’s continued success and God reward in the hereafter.
