Bauch State Governor, urges Emir of Bauchi to oversight the newly created emirates in the state.

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has appealed to the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Sulaimanu Adamu, to guide the newly appointed emirs, particularly those carved out of his domain for effective traditional administration.

The governor who made the appeal during the continuation of his statewide flag-off of rural roads construction projects, noting that the creation of additional emirates was designed to expand the reach of traditional institutions and strengthen governance.

He explained that the new emirates were not established to diminish the authority of any existing traditional council but to enhance leadership presence and address administrative gaps in underserved communities.

Governor Bala Mohammed emphasized that, as Chairman of the State Council of Traditional Rulers, the Emir of Bauchi holds the responsibility of monitoring activities across all emirates to ensure effective service delivery.

On the rural road projects, the governor said his administration secured interventions from the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project RAAMP and development partners after assessing the challenges faced by communities across the state.

He added that, the initiative aligns with the government’s commitment to improving livelihoods, boosting agricultural productivity and connecting rural populations to markets, basic services, and economic opportunities.
