The Alumni Association of Bauchi State College of Agriculture has urged Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad to rename the College to Good-luck Jonathan College of Agriculture and General Studies, Bauchi.
The President of the Association Muhammad Sani Mu’azu made the call during a press briefing held at the NUJ Secretariat, Bauchi.
He noted that, members of the Association have deemed it necessary to call for the renaming of the college to the former President Good-Luck Ebele Jonathan in recognition of his immense contribution towards transforming the education system across the country when he was President.
The Alumni President, Muhammad Sani Mu’azu, recalled that twelve Federal Universities were established during Good Luck Jonathan administration and assured readiness to complement his effort to the development of education in Nigeria.
He highlighted that the college, when fully renamed after Ebele Jonathan will attract foreign investors especially those who had a bilateral relation with him when he was a President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Sani Mu’azu described Bala Muhammad as a workaholic Governor who demontrated unwavering commitment towards revitalizing the college and therefore commended him for his effort to improve the quality of education in the state.
He noted that with the coming of Governor Bala Muhammad, the college has produced countless professionals who have significantly contributed to agricultural productivity, food security and economic growth in the state.
