A three day capacity building training for media staff has been open with a charge for them to remain attentive by applying modern procedures in gathering and presenting quality media contents to the public.
Announcing the training open, the state Commissioner ministry of Information and Communication Alh Usman Shehu Usman, described the workshop as historic aim at acquainting participants with professional skills to discharge their assignment diligently.
The training organized by the state Ministry of Information and Communication on audio visual content development and dissemination in digital era for state owned media organizations held at DEC Conference Center, Bauchi.
Alh Usman Shehu Usman said the training focuses on sound editorial judgement, ethical standards, objectivity, digital knowledge among others for uptimal productivity to enrich content of broadcast using modern ways of journalism.
The Commissioner of Information and Communication expressed present administration’s readiness to support public service particularly media sector which he said, if it remain objective will help to keep society intact free of chaos or cirses.
Alh Usman Shehu Usman commended the Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for his developmental initiatives toward paddling the state service delivery to include approving the the historical media training for the development of sector and state in general.
While appreciating the media trade unions NUJ, RATAWU and the regulatory agencies for the support to the success of the training, the Commissioner ask them to maintain the cordial relationship with government to reach the desired destination.
In a goodwill massage, Head of Civil Service, Brr Sani Umar, commended the ministry for organizing the workshop that intended to enrich productivity inline with international standard, therefore expressed determination to collaborate with them toward improving service delivery, charged the participants to use the knowledge aquired in practical performance.
Brr Sani Umar appeal to the Civil servants to always apply code of conduct to abide by civil service regulations to serve the public with high level of discipline and consciousness.
In his address, the Managing Director Bauchi Radio Corporation Alh Umar Muhammad Shira said the objectives of the training is to enhance efficiency, timelines, support innovation to survive competitive environment and key into the available digital opportunities as well as enhance professionalim.
Alh Umar Muhammad Shira also said the training will help the participants to respond to audience preference so as to attain audience trust and confidence which at the end lead the participants to understand the key elements of content development by learning current communication system in respect of community solution.
In a vote of thanks, the Chairman Board of Directors BRC and BATV Alh Mohammed Inuwa Bello, described the giant stride of the state governor Bala Mohammed and the curren Commissioner in providing new broadcasting apparatus as the effort toward elevating media sector in the state.
Alh Inuwa Bello thanked the governor for approving the training and his foresight to spare the media activities in the state.
In their separate remarks, the state Chairmen NUJ and RATAWU, Comrade Umar Saidu and Comrade Sirajo Abdullahi Wunty described the initiative by the state government as welcome development promised to continue connect in that direction.
