2024 Re-run Elections: INEC begins consultations with stakeholders

A head of the bye elections in some affected states across the country, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has met with the Inter agency consultative committee on election security in Bauchi on strategy for peaceful re-run elections in the state scheduled for Saturday 3rd February 2024

This is contained in a statement signed by the head of voter education and Publicity of the commission Aliyu Hassan Shaba and issued to journalists prepratory to the forthcoming bye-lections of state house of assembly in four constituencies of Bauchi, Zungur/Galambi, Madara/Chinade, and Ningi respectively

The Bauchi State resident electoral commissioner Mohammed B. Nura and his counterpart the state commissioner of police Auwal Mohammed and all other members pledged to work assiduously to ensure security of ad-hoc personnel and election materials as well as voters before, during and after the elections exercise

The committee members in the statement enjoyed eligible voters to go out and exercise their franchise in electing their representatives of their choice in the four 4 house of assembly Constituencies where the rerun elections will hold.
