Bauchi state Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced the tentative fare of this year’s Hajj exercise as 8.254 as been fixed by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON.

The Executive Secretary of the board Malam Abdulrahaman Ibrahim Idris who stated this during a press briefing in Bauchi said the increase was due to exchange rate of dollar.
Malam Abdulrahaman Idris explained that all intending Pilgrims that have deposited the earlier fare of 4million 690 naira are expected to pay 1.918.32.19 million naira.
He pointed out that the Federal government has given four days grace for the completion and has paid a certain amount to support to those who have completed their fare and the intending Pilgrims will pay the remaining 1.918.32.19.
Malam Abdurahaman Idris said the board has directed all Hajj affairs officers to take charge of the changes and urged all the intending Pilgrims to ensure timely completion of their fare.
The Executive Secretary said 2,290 intending Pilgrims are expected to perform this year’s Hajj exercise and those that have not paid any deposit will are to pay 8.254 million naira for this year’s Hajj exercise.
Meanwhile states Muslims Pilgrims welfare board has appealed to the National Hajj Commission to extend the deadline for the completion.
