World Bank trains Fulani Women on improved Milk processing in Bauchi.

Eighty Fulani women across the twenty local government area of Bauchi state involved in milk business have benefited from a training on hygienic milk handling and processing course organized by the state government in collaboration with World Bank Livestock and Resilience Support Project.
Speaking to our reporter after the programme held at Hazibal Hotel, Bauchi, Bauchi State Project Coordinator of L PRES Alhaji Musa Adamu said the women were trained on Animal Milk hygiene and protocol with qualified facilitators from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi.
Alhaji Musa Adamu noted that, the project was aimed at improving agricultural activities particularly in five key areas related to farmers and herders to include providing motorized bore hole in Alkaleri, Tafawa Balewa and Gamawa local government areas.
According to the project coordinator, L-PRES is collaborating with State College of Agriculture to plant improve graze in some designated grazing reserve in the state.
He further revealed that, the project will strengthen animal vetinary and intensify vaccination as well as provide potable water to cattle market as well as construction of modern abattoirs in the state.
Earlier in his presentation, Professor M. Abubakar of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi dwelled on good practices on milk hygienic and way to improve heather society that seeks to transform livestock production into commercially oriented enterprises for sustainable food and nutrition security in the country
