NPHCDA trains Health workers in Bogoro LGA

‎The National Primary Health Care Development agency says it has trained 24  healthcare workers in Bogoro LGA
‎‎In its efforts to provide good healthcare service delivery in Nigeria, the National Primary Health Care Development Agency has trained 24 frontline health workers in integrated service delivery in Bogoro Local Government area.

‎This was revealed by the National facilitator of the program, Hajiya Saude Abubakar during the closing ceremony of thirteen-day training workshop for Frontline Health Workers in the Local Government area on clinical competencies to improve health outcomes.

‎According to her, the workshop was organised by the Bauchi State Primary Health Care Development Agency and the State Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA).

‎Hajiya Saude disclosed that the aim of the  training is to strengthen the capacity of Frontline Health Workers working in publicly-owned primary healthcare facilities to provide quality health services and improve health outcomes in Nigeria.

‎She explained that lack of appropriate skills and competencies at the frontline facilities contributed significantly to poor health outcomes.

‎she maintained that, to reverse this ugly trend, the Honourable Coordinating Minister of  Health and Social Welfare, Professor Ali Pati, has introduced the Renewed Health Sector Vision 2023 – 2026 and launched the National Health Sector Reviewal Investment Initiative.
‎Also speaking, the Director Primary Health Care Department Bogoro LGA Mr Godwill Hakuri,commended the Bauchi State Government for revitalizing the state’s primary health care system.

‎Mr Godwin highlighted that the launching of the frontline healthcare workers training program is a great significant milestone in this journey.

‎In his remarks, the Executive Chairman Bogoro Local Government area Hon Yakubu Lawi Sumi represented by his Deputy Hon Mulki Markus Masoyi commended Bauchi State’s Government efforts in Strengthening frontline healthcare workers’ capacity.

‎Yakubu Lawi Sumi thanked Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir pride in supporting this initiative in ensuring every mother and child has access to quality healthcare.
