
The newly turbaned District Head of Yanda in the Dambam Emirate Council, Alhaji Isma’il Alhasaan, has called on residents of the area to remain law-abiding and to respect constituted authority as a pathway to sustainable development.
Alhaji Isma’il made the call while speaking with newsmen shortly after his turbaning ceremony, performed by the Emir of Dambam, Alhaji Idris Bappah Musa, at his palace.
He appealed to his subjects to embrace unity, mutual understanding and love for one another, noting that peaceful coexistence remains the foundation for socio-economic growth within the emirate.
According to him, no society can achieve meaningful development in an atmosphere of chaos, stressing the need for collective effort and cooperation among all stakeholders to move the area forward.
The district head pledged his full loyalty and support to the Emir of Dambam, assuring that he would work tirelessly to promote peace, improve educational development and enhance the living standards of the people.
Also speaking at the occasion, the Sarkin Malaman Yanda, Alhaji Yusuf S. Bakum, described the people of Yanda as peace-loving and law-abiding, noting that their longstanding culture of unity has contributed significantly to the stability and progress of the area.
He called on Yanda residents to rally round the newly appointed district head through prayers, loyalty and cooperation, stressing that effective traditional leadership thrives on the collective support of the people it serves.
Alhaji Yusuf further emphasized the importance of unity among the people, urging them to continue living together in harmony regardless of ethnic or tribal differences.
He expressed confidence that with mutual understanding, respect and shared commitment to peace, Yanda would witness greater socio-economic growth, while reaffirming the community’s readiness to work with traditional authorities to advance development and good governance.
