GOVERNOR BALA MUHAMMAD PRESENTS BAUCHI STATE 2025 BUDGET PROPOSAL TO THE STATE LEGISLATURE

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has presented the sum of over 465 billion Naira to the State House of Assembly as 2025 budget proposal.
Presenting the budget estimate at the floor of the assembly, the governor said the proposal was done in compliance with all the budget and financial regulations standard.
Governor Bala Mohammed said in the 2025 budget, his administration would ensure the full implementation of the new national minimum wage, completion of ongoing projects and reduction in non essential services among others.
According to him, the 2025 budget proposal was higher than that of the 2024 which is as a result of the current economic challenges and requested the timely passage of the budget to enable his administration begin implementation on time.
On the implementation of the 2024 budget, the governor acknowledged the significant milestones achieved and solicited for continued support to the state government’s developmental agende.
Governor Bala Mohammed therefore appreciated the state house of assembly for supporting his administration to deliver on its mandate and promised that the administration will remain committed to the welfare and wellbeing of the people of the state.
Responding, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Abubakar Sulaiman reiterated the readiness of the assembly to ensure speedy passage of the budget proposal which he hoped will stimulate economic development if fully implemented.
