GOVERNOR BALA MOHAMMED CONGRATULATES WIKKI TOURISTS FC ON PROMOTION TO NIGERIA PREMIER FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, Governor has on behalf of Government and the sports-loving people of Bauchi State congratulated the management, technical crew, players, and teeming supporters of Wikki Tourists Football Club of Bauchi over their remarkable feat of securing promotion back to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) after two years of absence.
In a press statement by his Special Adviser Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado, the Governor described the achievement as a testament to the hard work, resilience, discipline, and team spirit demonstrated throughout the just-concluded Nigeria National Leagueseason.
The Governor commended the club’s unwavering determination and the sacrifices made by all stakeholders in restoring the club to its rightful place among the elite of Nigerian football.
While acknowledging the crucial role played by the club’s supporters and the good people of Bauchi State, whose unflinching support , prayers and belief in the team contributed immensely to this success.
As Wikki Tourists prepare to face Warri Wolves in the NNL Championship Final on Saturday, July 13, 2025, in Asaba, Governor Bala Mohammed extended his best wishes and full support to the team. He expresses confidence in their ability to crown their successful campaign with victory and bring further glory to the state.
He assured that the Government of Bauchi State will remain committed to promoting sports development and creating the enabling environment for youth empowerment, unity, and talent development through football and other sporting activities.
