Gov Bala Mohammed urged elected local govt chairmen to initiate people’s oriented programs

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has sworn in the newly elected chairmen, urging them to work towards the delivery of social amenities at the grassroots.
At the ceremony held at the Government House Bauchi, the Governor reminded the elected chairmen that, their election is a call to serve their people; hence the need to justify the confidence reposed in them for the benefit of their people.
He expressed satisfaction that, the election was conducted peacefully across the twenty Local Government Councils and tasked them to provide the needed leadership that is required for better Bauchi.
Governor Bala Mohammed also called on the chairmen to work with relevant stakeholders including their management staff in order to achieve the desired objectives and promised to support them to deliver effectively.
On his part, the Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Ibrahim Mohammed Kashim congratulated the Executive chairmen on their well deserved victory and appreciated Governor Bala Mohammed for supporting the conduct of the election.
Responding on behalf of the sworn in chairmen, the chairman of Bauchi local government, Mahmoud Baba Ma’aji pledged to live up to expectations and to emulate Governor Bala in the implementation of people’s oriented policies and programmes
