The Emir of Ningi Alhaji Haruna Yunusa Dan Yaya has called for peaceful coexistence among farmers and herders in Ningi Emirate, saying that unity will help to achieve the much desired economic prosperity.
Alhaji Haruna Yunusa made the call on his Sallah massage, marking the end of Ramadan fast.
The monarch revealed that Bauchi State had enjoyed peace due to various efforts put by the government in collaboration with traditional institutions.
He also urged farmers to take advantage of the rain by involving in early farming to boost food sufficiency in the local and the state at Large.
The monarch also called for support for the current administration, while lauding the various intervention projects geared towards improving the lives of residents.
He thanked the state governor Bala Mohammed for the developmental projects across the state.
Meanwhile, in his Sallah message, the Executive Chairman of Ningi Local Government area Alhaji Nasiru Zakarai, called on people of the area to replicate the lessons of the fast in daily living.
Alhaji Nasiru urged the residents not to lose sight in face of the current socio-economic and security challenges bedevilling the country.
He advised people of Ningi Local Government to show love to one another as well as promote harmony and peaceful coexistence.
According to him, the local government administration has put measures in place to ensure the security of lives and property of the citizenry.
