Bauchi State Specialist Hospital has officially addressed the rumors circulating on social media that its buildings were damaged due to negligence.
In an interaction with newsmen in his office,the chief medical director Professor Abdulkarim Garba mairiga said, the damage was actually caused by heavy rainfall that affected several structures within Bauchi metropolis.
Professor Mairiga, emphasized that the hospital’s buildings were not damaged due to careless behavior, but rather as a result of severe weather conditions.
He assured the general public that the necessary action have been taken to ensure the continued safety and well-being of patients and staff of the hospital.
Responding, the State Commissioner of Health,Dr. Adamu Sambo Umar, commended the hospital’s swift response to the situation,saying that the administration of Governor Bala Mohammed has given the necessary attention to the health sector and other critical areas across the state.
Dr Adamu Sambo, Urged members of the public to refrain from spreading unfounded rumors ,adding that instead they should focus on supporting government’s efforts towards improving healthcare service delivery.
The commissioner, emphasized the importance of accurate information dissemination, especially on sensitive issuea which involves lives and property.
