Bauchi State Information and Communication Ministry says digitization of the state owned media will be fulfil soonest.

Bauchi State Ministry of Information and Communications says digitization of the state owned media outfits will come to fruition in the next two months.

The Commissioner of the ministry, Alhaji Usman Garba stated this while speaking to parliamentary correspondents shortly after he appeared before the house committee on information and communications for 2025 Budget Defence.

The commissioner said, the issue of digitazation of the state owned media organizations BATV and BRC remains the backbone of the ministry’s budget.

Alhaji Usman Garba Danturaki futher explained that, the ministry viewed the issue of inadequate manpower at the affected media houses with concern, hence the need to recruit new staff.

He also lamented on how casuals staff spend over ten years without out employment at the BRC and BATV.

The Commissioner hinted that, the 2025 budget make adequate arrangement for the payment of thirty percent balance to the contractor handling the digitization projects of BATV and BRC.

He remarked that, the contractor would be back to site to complete the work if he received the remaining contract balance.

Alhaji Usman Danturaki appreciated the house committee on information for their understanding and smooth working relationship and pledged to work together for the betterment of the state.

The commissionner was accompanied by the permanent Secretary and other Directors of the ministry, Managing Director BATV Mohammed Garba Ningi, Directors and the Managing Director BRC Alhaji Chindo Waziri and Director-General Bauchi ICT Bureau.
