Bauchi State Commissioner for Works and Transport Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Galadima says all ongoing roads and other infrastructural projects awarded by the present administration would be conducted base on specifications and standard.
The commissioner stated this an interview with newsmen after a meeting with the state house of assembly committee on works and transportation on the proposed twenty twenty five ministry’s budget.
He said the ministry would ensure adequate monitoring of all the road projects embarked upon by the present administration across the state to ensure value for money.
The Commissioner revealed that, the road projects when completed, would increase access to social amenities and other opportunities associated with improving road transport.
According to him, the ministry is doing everything possible to ensure that contractors handling various roads and other infrastructural projects in the State are held accountable and that they execute the projects to the highest possible standards.
Responding, the Chairman State House of Assembly committee on works and transport Garba Adamu Kawu challenged staff of the ministry to ensure timely monitoring and evaluation of road construction across the state.
The lawmaker urged companies handling various construction in the state to discharge their duties with high sense of responsibility, to provide the benefiting communities with the required infrastructure for improved livelihood.
He commended Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed for awarding roads constructions across the state to better the lives of the citizens.
