Bauchi State Government improves state’s power sector

Bauchi State Commissioner for Power, Science and Technology Alhaji Abdulkadir Usman Modibbo says the ministry has made significant strides in improving the state’s power infrastructure over the past five years.
Alhaji Usman Modibbo noted that, the Ministry’s accomplishments include transformer installations, rehabilitations of power lines, and repairs of vandalized facilities and rural electrification.
The Commissioner made this known during ministerial press briefing at Abubakar Umar Secretariat Bauchi.
He said these efforts have enhanced electricity access for residents across Bauchi State.
Alhaji Modibbo noted that all the achievements recorded was informed by the gaint strides Governor Bala Mohammad Bauchi Project
According to him, the ministry has succeeded in procuring and installing of five hundred KVA transformers at Bakin Kasuwa, Tafawa Balewa Housing Estate, and BRC Bauchi, Ningi-Burra and Dungulbe ITC lines rehabilitation, installation of five hundred KVA and three hundred KVA transformers at Magama Gumau, Jama’a District, and the repair of vandalized transformer sub-stations in Ganjuwa Local Government Area.
Others said include, the replacement of a burnt-down transformer at Fati Mu’azu Link, GRA Bauchi.
The commissioner also revealed that, the ministry has restored electricity supply in thirty seven affected communities in Bogoro, Dass, and Tafawa Balewa, and awarded contracts for ITC line repairs as well as installed four transformers at Rauda Quarters, Dumi, and Unguwan Liman and has distributed transformers across various communities in the state among others.
