Bauchi State Goverment hands over Acresal integrated Water Project in Toro Local Goverment Area

Bauchi state government has officially handed over the newly constructed integrated water solar powered boreholes. Across cattle routes in Toro local government Area for use by benefiting communities.
Handing over the projects to the communities of Gafanshow, Ririwai ,Tama and palama in Toro local government, the state ACReSaL co-ordinator Dr Ibrahim Kabir Gamawa,said the projects were constructed by the ACReSaL project intervention a World Bank Assisted programme in collaboration with the federal and Bauchi state government.
According to him the project is set to provide portable water to postralist and the nearby communities aimed at addressing shortage of water in the communities and to cattle rearers across the cattle routes in the state to boost livestock development in the communities.
He Maintained that the four benefiting communities were carefully selected after observing that the Communities and their Animals are suffering shortage of water, hence the need for them to safeguard the facility against any vandalization of the projects for the overall development of the areas.
In his remarks, the Director General BASEPA Bauchi state, Dr Mahmood. M. Bose, said the projects if mantain and protected would no doubt bring to an end water scarcity and improve economic stability in the area.
Receiving the projects the executive chairman Toro local government council, Pharmacist Ibrahim Abubakar Dembo while appreciating the gesture said Toro local government would continue to rally round governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed to enhance more developmental projects in the state.
Represented by the Director Agric and Natural resources Toro local government, Alhaji salisu Tukur Burai, the Chairman assured of the local governments determination to protect and sustain the project facilities for the overall development of the areas.
According to him the local government has set a monitoring committee to ensure full protection and proper use of the projects facilities.

In their remarks, at their various communities. Alh Auwal Abba Tulu Secretary Toro local government, Mohammed Kabir Usman councilor Toro ward, Alh Adamu Yakubu Tulu District head of Tama and Ardo Suleman Aliyu all applaud the state project co-ordinator and the state governor Bala Mohammed for the effective and successful implementation of the projects, and assured of their community’s commitment to ensure full protection and useful usage of the solar power projects and warned that any one found misusing the facility would face the wrath of the low.
