BAUCHI STATE GOVERMENT APPROVES THE RECRUITMENT OF ADDITIONAL TEACHERS FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE ADOLESCENT GIRLS LEARNING PROJECT

Governor Bala Mohammed has approved additional recruitment of three thousand teachers for the successful implementation of Adolescent Girls Initiatives Learning Project in the state.
The State Coordinator of AGILE Sule Gar disclosed this to newsmen shortly after a stakeholders meeting held at Bauchi local government’s Secretariat Conference Hall.
He gave the breakdown of the employment as one thousand for the senior secondary school and two thousand for the Junior secondary school to fill the gap already in existence.
According to him, the recruiting of the teachers is part of the criteria for the implementation of AGILE program by the World Bank for each state to be a beneficiary of the AGILE Project.
The coordinator of the project added that, the recruitment exercise would be base on merit and they have to be domicile within their communities to enhance Learning effectiveness.
Sule Gar commended the effort of Governor Bala Mohammed led administration’s support to the AGILE project in the state and called on other relevant stakeholders to continue contributing their quota aimed at achieving the set objectives.
