Bauchi State Enviromental Protection Agency calls for Sustainance of Monthly Sanitation Exercise

The Chairman of the Bauchi State Environmental Protection Agency, BASEPA, Dr. Muhammad Mahmood Bose, has called on residents to sustain the monthly environmental sanitation exercise to promote healthy living.

Dr. Bose made the call after monitoring the monthly Sanitation exercise across Bauchi metropolis.

He expressed satisfaction with the level of public compliance and cooperation during the sanitation exercise.

According to him, the commitment demonstrated by residents reflects growing awareness of the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment.

Dr. Bose stressed that regular environmental sanitation is vital in preventing the outbreak and spread of diseases.

He urged communities yet to fully embrace the exercise to emulate others, noting that a clean environment is a shared responsibility.

Communities visited include Yelwan Makaranta, State Low-Cost, Mabuga, Kofar Dumi, and Kandahar and the Traditional leaders commended the initiative and encouraged their people to remain committed to environmental hygiene.

They noted that proper sanitation is key to tackling common health challenges, particularly malaria and other hygiene related illnesses.
