BAUCHI STATE COMMISSIONER OF INFORMATIOM INAUGURATES BOARD MEMBERS FOR THE STATE BROADCASTING CORPORATION.

The State Commissioner Ministry for Information and Communication Comrade Usman Garba Danturaki has urged the new board members of the State Broadcasting Corporation to carryout their official responsibilities with all seriousness for the growth and development of the Corporation.
The Commissioner disclosed this while inaugurating the new members of the state Broadcasting Corporation held at the Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria, Bauchi.
Danturaki said the members of the board were effectively appointed based on trust and their track records of excellence at various capacities to rally round the affairs of the Corporation.
The Commissioner reiterated the present administration’s commitment, to the employment of casual staff at the state owned media organizations BRC and BATV, who have been serving the two stations for years, to enable them appreciate their contributions and sacrifice, to the growth and development of the state.
He encouraged the new members to use their expertise to promote government policies and Programs that will strengthen effective service delivery to the good people of Bauchi State.
N Danturaki revealed that with the coming of the new board members with high caliber, the ministry and its Parastatals would move forward.
In his welcome address, the permanent secretary in the Ministry ,Dr Sule Adamu Madara congratulated the new Chairman and his board members of the State Broadcasting Corporation, urged them to use their wealth of experience to stair the affairs of the board so as to collectively move the state forward.
In their goodwill massages, the Managing Directors of both the BRC and BATV, Alhaji Chindo Waziri and Comrade Muhammad Garba Ningi commended the state governor for his foresight towards appointing a technocrat to lead the board and urged them to use their wealth of experience towards yielding positive result.
The Managing Directors used the medium to thanked the state governor for awarding contract for the renovation and rehabilitation of the state Television Authority and assured that staff of the organisation would reciprocate the gesture by being dedicated to duty.
In his speech, the Chairman Bauchi State Broadcasting Corporation, Alhaji Inuwa Bello revealed that the board was saddled with the responsibilities by looking into the problems of the Bauchi Radio Corporation and the Bauchi State Television Authority with a view to finding lasting solutions as well as moving the two media industries forward.
Members of the board include, a retired permanent secretary who was also a one time Managing Director of the Bauchi Radio Corporation, Alhaji Inuwa Bello as Chairman, while Alhaji Maigari Muhammad Khannah, Honourable Ibrahim Ahmed Marafa, Yusuf Dabo, Aliyu S Gauya, Alhaji Mahmud Rufa’i, Iliya Ibrahim Bello, Bello Garba Jama’a, As well as Talban Gwallameji are to serve as members of the state Broadcasting Corporation.
