BAUCHI STATE COMMISSION FOR YOUTHS AND WOMEN REHABILITATION DEVELOPMENT URGES RESIDENTS TO ABIDE BY ENVIROMENTAL LAWS

The Executive Chairman of Bauchi State Commission for Youth and Women Rehabilitation Development BACYWARD Alhaji Tanko Yusuf Dutse has urged residents of the state to abide by environmental laws and patronize the waste contractors assigned to their communities instead of disposing waste indiscriminately.
Alhaji Tanko Yusuf Dutse stated while fielding questions from newsmen shortly after he met with traditional leaders and supervisors of cleaners under the commission held at his office
According to him, the BACYWARD Chairman routine meeting is to interact with the relevant stakeholders aimed at proffering solutions to some identified challenges especially some unswept streets under the commission in the state
He implored the people to desist from indiscriminate waste disposal and complement government efforts in ensuring a safe and clean environment, and charged them to report cleaners who are not active for necessary action as government will not condole such negative attitude despite prompt payment of their allowances
While pledging for continuous support of market leaders in the state, the chairman added that abuse of the environment through human activities is on the increase, with its attendant consequences on the collective well being of everyone
Alhaji Tanko Yusuf Dutse however commended Governor Bala Mohammed”s foresight, through proactive measures and deliberate steps to preserve and clean the state, calling on people to support the effort to achieve the set objectives
Speaking Earlier on behalf of the traditional leaders and supervisors ,Alhaji Ayuba Abubakar Wakilin Mai Anguwar Kobi assured of continued support and collaboration to make the state more environmentally clean and safe.
He expressed appreciation to Governor Bala Mohammed’s ongoing laudable projects particularly cleaning and sanitizing the state for the best interest of all residents.
