Bauchi State Boundary Commission Chairman pledges to address boundary issues across the state.

Bauchi State Deputy Governor and State Chairman Boundary Commission, Muhammad Auwal Jatau has reaffirmed his commitment to provide lasting solutions confronting affected local governments that shared boundaries with Jigawa State.

The Deputy Governor was speaking, when he led a team from Bauchi State Boundary Commission on a sensitization and enlightenment campaign to Darazo and Misau LGA’s and other Local Governments that shared boundary with Jigawa State.

Auwal Jatau represented by the Deputy Chief of Staff in his office, Alhaji Muhammad Haruna Barde observed that, the administration of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad is ever ready to overcoming issues of boundary disputes and to provide dividend of democracy to the rural communities particularly the settlements that shared boarders with other state.

He highlighted that, the enlightenment campaign will bring positive results, especially as the Technical Committee from National Boundary Commission (NBC), Abuja visited Bauchi and Jigawa States on a field compilation exercise and expressed hoped that the affected communities will take advantage of this sensitization and enlightenment campaign to boost their abilities towards addressing the boundary disputes.

Meanwhile,The Special Assistant on Boundary Matters to the State Deputy Governor Ahmad Garba has urged traditional rulers in the to enlighten their subjects on the implication of border encroachment and to remain vigilant for at all times.

In their sperate remarks, The Deputy Chairperson of Darazo Local Government Hajiya Amina Musa and Chairman of Misau Local Government Salisu Hussaini, promised to support government efforts towards improving the living conditions of Bauchi citizens.
