Bauchi State Assembly calls on the National Assembly to revisit fuel price policy.

Bauchi State House of Assembly has called on the National Assembly and other relevant agencies to draw the attention of the federal government to revisit the new fuel price policy for the benefit of Nigerians.
It also advised the state government to set up a committee that would regulate and ensure equal fuel price across the state.
The House made the resolution under matters of urgent public importance move by member representing Duguri/Gwana constituency in the assembly Bala Abdullahi Dan during Plenary.
Bala Dan in his presentation said the move became necessary as Nigerians were grappling to cope with the earlier problem, saying the recent decision of the government to further increase the Price of petroleum again, has compounded an already fragile situation caused by the initial decision.
According to him, majority of Nigerians are unable to eat three square meals a day, hence the need for the government to rethink on the policy.
Meanwhile, the Member representing Dass Constituency Abdullahi Ahmed has called on the state government to construct road from unguwar Zagi-Bondi-Bausun-Bajar to Lir in Dass Local government area.
According to him, the communities have in a state of bad condition for long and are facing serious hardship in transporting their produce to the market.
Abdullahi Ahmed said the poor condition of the road had not only hampered economic activities but also cause significant risk to the lives of travelers.
While appealing to the state Government to include the road in the 2025 state budget, said the construction of the road is not just an infrastructure but a lifeline for the people of Dass local government council.
