Bauchi indigene that represented Nig. in Saudi Arabia emerged second at the 44th International Qur’anic Competition.

Ibrahim Muhammad Nasir Shira from Bauchi state who represented Nigeria at the just concluded 44th edition of International Qur’anic Recitation Competition held in Saudi Arabia came second position in Qira’at.
Ibrahim Nasir is among the 174 contingents from 123 countries who particiated in the competition.
The state Coordinator of Qur’anic Recitation Competition, Alaramma Abubakar Rariya who expressed gratitude to Allah for the successes, explained that other contingents who represented Nigeria came second in different categories.
Alaramma Abubakar Rariya used the forum to congratulate people of Bauchi state and Nigerians as a whole for the the tremendous records put in place by Nigerians .
Those in attendance at the closing ceremony were the Governor of Makkah,Nigerian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Director Islamic studies Usman Dan Fodio University Sokoto, Commissioner of Religious Affairs and community relations as well as some members of the Bauchi state Quranic Recitation Competition Committee.
Ibrahim Muhammad Nasir was given rewardable prices including 450,000 riyals by the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
