Bauchi Govt. seeks traditional rulers support in delivery of dividends of democracy.

Bauchi State Government has solicited for the continued support and cooperation of traditional rulers to enable it succeed in the delivery of dividends of democracy to the people of the state.

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed made the request when the Emir of Bauchi, Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu paid him a sallah homage as part of sallah celebrations held at the Government House, Bauchi.

Represented by his Deputy, Rt. Hon. Mohammed Auwal Jatau, the Governor in particular requested Emirs to educate their people on government’s efforts for their continued understanding and support to the government.

He appreciated the Emir of Bauchi Alhaji (Dr) Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu, alongside his District Heads and other traditional title holders in his Emirate for the sallah homage, observing that the sustenance of this age-long tradition is a manifestation of the support and honour he is enjoying from the traditional institution in the state.

On security, Governor Bala Mohammed reminded the traditional rulers on the need to contribute in maintaining law and order in their domains through vigilance and prayers to complement government’s effort in that direction.

Earlier, the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Dr. Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu appreciated Governor Bala Mohammed for his administration’s outstanding support to traditional rulers and promised their continued support for the success of his administration.
