Bauchi First Lady partners UN Women to better the lives of women and children

Bauchi state first lady Dr Aisha Bala Mohammed has Solicited the support of UN Women to better the lives of women especially in the rural area.

The State first lady was speaking when she received the UN country Representative in her New Office at the Government House Bauchi.

Dr Aisha Bala commended the UN Women for choosing Bauchi State in the implementation of their project, saying her doors is open to collaborate with them to support women in the state.

The first lady lady also said UN Women has plans to assist women on Agriculture and technology to assist them face their challenges.

Speaking earlier, the country Representative ECOWAS in Nigeria Mrs Biatrus Ayong said they were at the first lady office to solicit her support to assist the women especially at the rural area.

Mrs Biatrus Ayong informed her about the celebration of international Rural women’s Day at Badel Community in Dass local Government Area and has assisted the women with Rice Milling machine to boost their business.

She appreciated the first lady In her efforts towards assisting the women and children in the state.
