BAUCHI FIRST LADY FLAGS OFF 2024 SIXTEEN DAYS OF ACTIVISM IN BAUCHI STATE      Bauchi State first lady Dr Aisha Bala

Bauchi State first lady Dr Aisha Bal Muhammad has joined the world in flagging off campaign with stakeholders in commemoration of twenty twenty Four sixteen Days Activism in the state.,held at the Government House Bauchi organized by the Ministry of women affairs and child development in collaboration with the office of the First Lady.

Dr Aisha Bala Muhammad said the campaign will not end by ten December there is need hormonise efforts with all relevant stakeholders to continue with the crusade and ensure Gender Based violence Free society in Bauchi State and Nigeria as a whole.

She emphasis that the sixteen Days Activism event is a demonstration of the collaborative effort between the Government institutions and key Stakeholders towards addressing issues affecting women Adolescent and Vulnerables,while assessing the gaps and challenges, and collectively celebrate the contribution .

The first lady also said there participation along side the ministry of women affairs and child development reaffirm the administration’s dedication to protecting the rights and advancing women and the vulnerables in the state, the highlighted the importance the state Government attached to it’s citizens in driving development and humain right.

In their separate good Will messages the United nation, FOMWAN, Plant international and Human rights commended the First lady lady for her efforts towards fight against Gender Based violence in the state and assured of their support in tackling the menace among the society.

In her welcome address, the commissioner women affairs and child development Hajiya Zainab Baban Takko said the ministry with the support of the office of first lady celebrating the Activism since assumed office to Tackle the issue of Gender Based Violence in the state.

Hajiya Zainab Baban Takko commended efforts of the First lady towards assisting the victims of SGBV through her commeetee Bauchi State Action commeetee of Gender Based Violence.

She assured that through collaboration with Stakeholders, the issue of Gender Based Violence would be a reduced to the bearest leveli n the state.

The theme for this year’s celebration is ” Towards thirty years of Beijin Declaration and platform for Action unite to end violence against women and Girls.
