Bauchi Commissioner for Higher Education urged institutions of learning to prioritize skills acquisition programs.

Bauchi State Commissioner for Higher Education and Regional Integration Dr. Lydia Haruna Tsammani has urged tertiary institutions in the state to focus more on areas of competencies as well as skills development.
Dr. Lydia Tsammani was speaking to newsmen on the outcome of her unscheduled visit to some Tertiary Institutions in Bauchi.
She particularly enjoined Bauchi State College of Agricultural Agriculture management to prioritize acquisition of practical skills rather than academic certificates.
The commissioner urged the academia in the state to remain focused and come up with innovative and creative ideas to advance the sector.
Dr Lydia Tsammani appreciated Governor Bala Mohammed for his holistic approach, and support particularly the ongoing construction projects at various tertiary institutions of Learning in the state.
