KANO STATE CONTIGENTS TO THE NATIONAL QURANIC RECITATION COMPETITION EMERGES WINNER

Kano State contingents to the winner in sixty Hizib, Tafsir and Qira’at in male category in the 39th edition the National Qur’anic Recitation Competition in Birnin Kebbi.

Buhari Sunusi Idris from Kano State em Qur’anic Recitation Recitation Competition in Birnin Kebbi the Kebbi state capital, While Rumasa’u Dahiru Ibrahim from Gombe was also the overall winner in female category in Sixty hizib with Tafsir and Qira’at.

Bauchi State Cantegents Nafi’u Ridwan Katsinawa came fort in first category, Nasiru Dahiru Atafuwa also bagged third position in the second category while Maryam Abdullahi Launi who came fifth in third

Meanwhile the Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Abubakar Sa’ad has charged Muslims have been charged to strengthen their Iman and efforts towards the propagation of Islam in all nocks and crannies of the world .

The sultan Abubakar who made the call while turbaning the overall winners of the just concluded National Qur’anic Recitation Competition in Kebbi said it through dedication and collective contribution the Islamic Deen would be effective propagated .

Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar also call on Muslims to abide by the instructions of the Glorious Qur’an and Hadith to enable them live exemplary life in accordance with the teachings of Islam.

Earlier, the Chairman local organizing committee Kebbi state His Royal Highness the Emir of Arugungu, Alhaji Sama’ila Muhammad Mera, who thanked Allah for the successful completion of the competition and commended the National organizing committee for their sacrifice and dedication towards the successful organizing of the competition.

In a remark, the Vice Chancellor Usman Dan Fodio University Sokoto Professor Bashir Garba who expressed gratitude to Allah for witnessing the day said 350 contingents represent their states from 35 states .

Professor Bashir Garba explained that the competition was organized aimed at enhancing unity and brotherhood among Muslims.and announced that four overall winners will represent Nigeria at the international level.

The Kebbi state Governor Comrade Dr. Nasiru Idris Kauran Gwandu called on Nigerians irrespective of their religion to pray for peace ,progress and development of the country.

Declaring, the competition closed, Dr. Nasiru Idris, Gwarzon Daular Usmaniya the Executive Governor of Kebbi state called for more participation of organisations in organising Quranic Recitation Competition with a view to increase reading and memorisation of the Glorious Qur’an among the younger ones .
